ARLINGTON, VA. — Trifecta Collective LLC acquired TRANSACT, a market-leading event in the payments processing industry, from the Electronic Transactions Association (ETA).
Trifecta Collective LLC was formed by trade show professionals Rick McConnell and Jennifer Hoff with GreyLion in 2021, and is committed to elevating its varied portfolio of B2B events through forward-thinking success strategies. Accordingly, the company will collaborate with ETA to drive ingenuity and innovation at TRANSACT.
“I am delighted to welcome TRANSACT to Trifecta’s portfolio. This vibrant and influential show is a testament to ETA’s strategic efforts in building a strong, reputable brand within the fintech industry. We eagerly anticipate leveraging our partnership with ETA and our experience in the tradeshow industry to further propel TRANSACT’s success,” Rick McConnell, CEO of Trifecta Collective said.
ETA is a premier trade association and advocate for the payments and fintech industry, and its members span more than 12 countries and process approximately $44 trillion annually in purchases and P2P payments worldwide.
“Partnering with Trifecta and GreyLion paves the way for elevating TRANSACT to unprecedented levels of quality and value. We are excited to collaborate and continue expanding the show for many years to come as we seek to better serve the payments and fintech industry and further position TRANSACT as a market-leading event,” Jodie Kelley, CEO of ETA said.
The investment banking firm Corporate Solutions helped facilitate this deal, the third acquisition that the company and Trifecta Collective LLC have performed together in the past two years, after the North American Trailer Dealer Association Trailer Show and the International Mass Timber Conference.
“This is another great acquisition for Trifecta Collective as the TRANSACT brand adds strength, scale and diversification to their existing multi-sector trade show business portfolio. I am confident that Trifecta Collective and ETA together will enable the TRANSACT brand to grow to new heights given their depth of experience, current management team and support from their financial partners,” Nick Curci, Owner of Corporate Solutions and the exclusive advisor to the ETA through this acquisition’s transaction process, said.
TRANSACT displays new payments processing technology and developments on its show floor and through a conference program. Its ETA Star Awards honor individuals and companies making a mark on the payments industry, and the EMPOW(H)ER program showcases female leaders, and includes a mentoring program with a flexible engagement model to inspire others.
TRANSACT’s 2024 edition was held April 17-19 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, and reported more than 250 exhibitors and over 3,000 attendees. The show will return to Mandalay Bay April 2-4, 2025, and typically alternates between Las Vegas and Atlanta.
